The start of your child's journey with St Joseph's School Tranmere
Complete the Application for Enrolment form and submit it to the School. You will receive a letter of acknowledgement from the School Secretary. At this stage of the entry process your son or daughter is placed on a waiting list for entry to the School. Please note that this does not automatically guarantee a place at the School.
At St Joseph’s, enrolment opportunities are at all year levels where vacancies occur with our main entry points at Reception. We encourage families to lodge an application form as early as possible as places fill quickly. Priority is given in order of date of application and to siblings of current students. The enrolment fee is credited against your child's first year of school fees.

Our Reception Transition program, Little S.T.a.R.s, is designed to provide families with a greater opportunity for your child to access and transition into our school in a positive way. We know how vitally important a positive school transition program can be in setting up student success.
Little S.T.a.R.s. (Student Transition and Readiness Program) runs every Friday morning throughout the Semester (the two school terms) before your child joins our Reception classes and is a wonderful transition for your child as they start the journey of school life with us.
At St Joseph’s, we provide our students with a positive and safe environment in which to begin their school journey. The children will be involved in activities that enhance and support their social, emotional and academic wellbeing. These activities will focus on a nurturing play-based model for your child whilst also providing the opportunity to interact with our current Reception students and their teachers. The program will provide a smooth and positive approach to immersion in the Reception classrooms, as well as the Library, our various play spaces and specialist rooms.
The children in the Little S.T.a.R. program will have our Reception teachers running and managing the program. They will also work with our Specialist teachers and Education Support Officers.

If your child's birthday is between 1st November 2018 and 30th April 2019 they will join our Reception classes in Semester 1, 2024. Your child is also eligible to join our Little S.T.a.R.s. Transition Program for Semester 2, 2023.
If your child's birthday is between 1st May and 31st October 2019 they are eligible for our mid year 2024 Reception intake and will have 6 terms in our Reception class. If you would like to discuss this as an option for your child's enrolment, please contact our School Secretary, Glenda Barone. Your child is also eligible to join our Little S.T.a.R.s. Transition Program in Semester 1, 2024.
(Please note: If you feel your child would not be ready for the mid year Reception intake, you are welcome to wait until the start of 2025 for them to start their school journey with us)
