As Catholics we are all familiar with the virtue of charity, otherwise known as empathy. Empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of others, is part of catholic culture. At our recent board meeting we reflected on our role through the church to see the world through the eyes of the poor, and develop traits to help those in need.
Another critical role of the board is to regularly discuss and update school policies. This is usually a lengthy process over several meetings so to build in meeting efficiency, we have developed a new structure to review our policies whilst all still contributing our ideas and keeping our meetings on point, with the ability to discuss a range of topics.
Discussions are well underway to develop St Joseph Tranmere’s masterplan. The masterplan encompasses our schools’ vision for the future and aims to include flexible, modern teaching spaces with direct access to outdoor learning opportunities while maintaining our school focus on sustainability. Work is on the masterplan is predicted to start as early as 2019.
