This term we have celebrated a number of special events that help highlight our commitment to Catholic Social Teaching. We have had liturgies for World Sorry Day and World Environment Day and staff prayer which featured amongst other topics, the homeless and Indigenous Australians.
We had the highly successful soup run for the Moore Street Centre which saw tables groaning under the weight of others’ generosity including the generous donation from OSHC of a number of rain jackets as well as other warm woollies and jackets which came from parent members of our community.
On Friday we will celebrate Green and Gold Day and the money raised from that day will go to the Mary MacKillop Foundation to help towards the many projects the Sisters of St Joseph fund through their Foundation.
In cold and wet wintery conditions, the results of our social outreach and the generosity of our community, are warming flames of fire of the Holy Spirit working through us to help others.
