Senior Soccer Team – 24.06.17: St Joseph’s School, Tranmere lost to Payneham 2-3. Despite the score line, this was one of our team’s best performances of the year. Our midfield players of Kristian, Natalia, Anthony and Chloe worked very well together as we wrestled against a mighty Payneham outfit. Although we took the lead twice in the match with an own goal and a strike from Anton, Payneham took the lead in the last minutes of the game to seal a hard fought victory. Lino Piotto, Coach
Senior Soccer Team – 01.07.17: St Joseph’s School, Tranmere lost to Payneham A 1-8. Defenders Sam, Anton, Natalia, Patrick and Zac were kept very busy by top of the ladder Payneham A who until today had never conceded a goal. To our credit Tranmere never gave up the fight as we continued to give our best against a superior opponent. Our efforts were rewarded with a late goal by Kael. Lino Piotto, Coach
Soccer - 24.6.2017: TRANMERE-0 Trinity gardens Gold-2. A good effort from Tranmere on Saturday by everyone. All players are still showing lots of enthusiasm which is pleasing to see. Adrian dibartolo, Coach
Netta Netball - 1.07.17: Tranmere 4 defeated Nailsworth 2. In a great all round game the girls scored their third win of the season. We were able to move the ball quickly down the court with some great leading and positioning. Defensively the girls were brilliant making it very difficult for Nailsworth. Another game to be proud of. Our goal scorers this week were Michaela, Lily and Aleah. Amanda Rossetto, Coach
Sub-Junior 7 Netball – Tranmere Blue - 24.06.17: Our first game in Sub-Junior 7 saw our team being far more competitive against Linden Park White. Captained by Eloise our team tried very hard all game. The result appeared more one sided than the general play, with our opponents winning 18-3 due to some very consistent shooting. Well done to Eloise and Sophia who scored our goals and Rubee for her persistence through some tough physical opposition. I’m pleased to say that our team continued with their task to try hard and play our game.
01.07.17: This was our local school derby with St Josephs’ Blue playing St Joseph’s Red. Whilst some of our girls were anxious about playing against an older side, we thoroughly enjoyed the game. We played our best game of the season with some good ball movement. Captained by Ava, who teamed well with Eloise, Sophia and Angong in defence, we had good ball movement by Rubee, Cinzia and Rosa through the centre third. Well done to Gracy and Rose for shooting their first goals of the season. St Jo’s Red ran out winners 16 goals to 4 due to some quick ball movement and accurate shooting by Ella. This game was played with a terrific spirit and a wonderful example of great sportsmanship that demonstrated the school spirit. Thanks to Maria and St Jo’s Red for an enjoyable game. Julie Jansen, Coach
