In support of the Mary MacKillop Foundation, St Joseph’s Tranmere conducts Green and Gold Day. Children are encouraged to wear green and gold (yellow), or one of the colours, in any form: socks, hair ties, shirts etc. Colours can be combined with Sports Uniform if desired or students can wear casual clothes that are green or gold.
Each child is asked to bring a gold coin donation for the Foundation.
The Foundation which is run by the Sisters of St Joseph, supports projects for our Indigenous peoples. Projects include for example, secondary and tertiary scholarships for students and small, interest free loans for families in need.
The photo shows donated gold coins for Green and Gold Day filling our map of Australia!
