Reconciliation Week 2020.jpg

National Reconciliation Week - In this together

As part of our role as educators we aim to regularly integrate and embed indigenous perspectives into the the learning experiences we create for our students, so that future Australians will have a better and deeper understanding of the past, present and future lives and experiences of our First Nations people.

Reconciliation week is an opportunity for us, as a school, to focus on the issues that continue to surround the inequalities that Indigenous Australians have faced in the past and often continue to be challenged by. It also provides the opportunity to look to the future future and how we can work together to make a more united community.

Students will be creating and designing hand outlines to put on display in our library window next week, the symbolism being that we say 'Hands up for Reconciliation'.  Teachers will also focus on various aspects of truth telling and reflecting the Kaurna Acknowledgement which is a valued practice in our school.

OSHC Payments

Thank you to families who are paying their OSHC fees by Direct Banking.  Please remember to put OSHC and your surname in the payment description so that the deposit can be identified.

Also, a reminder that BPAY is the only payment option which cannot be used for OSHC payments as the BPAY number is linked directly to your school fee account.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Many thanks,

Janet Price

2020 Annual Winter Appeal - St Vincent de Paul Society

Winter appeal still on and needed

This winter, your commitment to helping those experiencing disadvantage and poverty is still very much needed and appreciated.

The Winter Appeal supports the notion that ordinary people are able to make an extraordinary difference in the communities where they live. The inspiration to do what matters is all around us. The Spirit to feed, heal, shelter, nuture, inspire - the power to change lives- is in everyone.

The St Vincent de Paul Society has launched its Covid-19/Winter Appeal to help people experiencing disadvantage. As the impacts of job losses due to Covid-19 are realised and more people reach out for assistance, the organisation needs your help to ensure our local Conference members and volunteers can continue their work supporting the disadvantaged in our community.

For a list of easy options to contribute .....
