Thank you! To our wonderful school community a big thank you for coming along to the school fair In September 2016. It was sometimes a bit cold and damp, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying a day of great entertainment, food and fun. It was terrific to see so many school families enjoying the day.
We set out to create a wonderful social event for our community and along the way raise some funds for the school. If the success of the fair can be judged by the smiles on our childrens faces, then it was a huge success. In addition, we are pleased to be able to support the school in the refurbishment of the Year 5 to 7 classrooms, with the $9,000 raised from your kind support at the fair funding at least one of the classroom fitouts. We are also pleased to assist Allison Hull with fundraising for the Cows for Cambodia and the Parish who utilise the funds raised from the BBQ to purchase flowers for the church during the year.
An event such as the school fair is a massive commitment by a dedicated group of people. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the 2016 School Fair Co-ordinators, Bianca Bohlin, Anita Hale, Allison Watts and Tania Loro Montin who have worked extremely hard all of this year to pull together the fair. The fair co-ordinators were very well assisted by the stall co-ordinators, who individually and collectively provided great food and stalls for us all to enjoy, so thanks to Susan, Mary, Tina, Kasia, Maria, Marilyn, Catherine, Kate, Jessica, Natasha and Jude (and anyone else I’ve accidently missed). The stalls couldn’t have worked without our volunteers on the day – so thanks to all those who assisted.
One of the highlights for the day was the entertainment, so a huge thank you to Katrina and Nadia who organised our past and present students and the jolly old fella named Humphrey. It was wonderful to see so much talent on display and all of the children enjoying the flash mob.
Our school social events are always well supported by our staff and thanks to all that helped set up, pack up and help with the stalls during the day. A special and massive thanks to Clare, Janet, Angela and Glenda who helped tirelessly behind the scenes in the lead up to the fair and throughout the day. We are very blessed to have such wonderful helpful staff.
We would not have been able to hold a school fair without our sponsors and supporters, so a final big thank you to everyone who supported the fair.
