We believe that St Joseph’s Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is an important, safe and valuable service for primary school children in the community. OSHC, as part of our school, reflects an environment consistent with the children’s school life.
Our service aims to provide high-quality care as set out in the National Quality Framework and provide an environment which will offer children numerous opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. Our programme is designed to meet the needs and interests of each child. Experiences are open-ended and children are encouraged to pursue their own interests and talents.
We have a focus on healthy eating and physical activity, and all children are actively encouraged to participate in a wide range of sports clinics. Homework is also incorporated into our daily programme.
We are delighted to share the news that our OSHC service has been rated by The Education and Early Childhood Services Registration and Standards Board of SA as exceeding the National Quality Standard.
